Soundtracks for Super Mario RPG Available for Pre-order in Vinyl (2023 Remaster) and CD (1996 and 2023)
Square Enix is currently taking pre-orders for the soundtracks to both the original 1996 SNES Super Mario RPG and the 2023 Switch remaster. They are releasing the soundtrack for the remaster in both a 2-CD option or 4-disc vinyl option. Additionally, a collection of both of the 2-CD soundtracks for the original and remaster is available, and it includes a complete track commentary written by composer Yoko Shimomura herself. The expected release date is April 2025.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth 7 CD Soundtrack Available for Pre-order
Square Enix has opened pre-orders for the soundtrack of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Similar to the soundtrack to Remake, this is 7 discs for the standard version, as well as Special Edit version which includes a bonus 8th disc with minigame music. The soundtracks are scheduled to ship April 2024.
Sixth Album from Final Fantasy Distant Worlds Orchestral Tour Available Now
“Distant Worlds VI: more music from FINAL FANTASY” is available now to order in CD form. The album is largely a combination of songs from the last two Distant Worlds tours: the Final Fantasy VII Remake tour and the Final Fantasy 35th Anniversary tour. It also features a previously unreleased rendition of Final Fantasy VIII’s “Eyes on Me” performed by Final Fantasy XIV vocalist Susan Calloway.
Final Fantasy XVI soundtrack available for pre-order, releases July 2023
The soundtrack to Final Fantasy XVI is currently available for pre-order through Square Enix. The soundtrack consists of of seven CD’s for the standard version, and includes a booklet with liner notes from Masayoshi Soken. An Ultimate Edition of the soundtrack includes another bonus disc that includes music from cutscenes.
Vinyl Set Included with Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster 35th Anniversary Collector's Edition
The 35th anniversary collector’s edition of the Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster collection contains a two-disc vinyl set featuring a sampling of tracks from the series. These games feature new arrangements supervised by series composer Nobuo Uematsu.
Final Fantasy XI 20th Anniversary Vinyl Available for Pre-order
As part of the celebration for the 20th anniversary of the still active MMO Final Fantasy XI, Square Enix is releasing a vinyl collecting a small sample of songs from the base game and all five expansions.
Limited Final Fantasy Distant Worlds 100th Concert Album For Sale
The limited CD for the Distant Worlds Final Fantasy Concert 100th performance, which took place in Tokyo in 2015, is now available for purchase. This was previously only available at the Square Enix merchandise booth at Tokyo Game Show 2017.
Final Fantasy IX vinyl available for pre-order for July 2022 release
A two-disc vinyl release for Final Fantasy IX is available for pre-order. This was the last Final Fantasy game composed exclusively by Nobuo Uematsu. The release features 25 tracks from the game.
Final Fantasy 35th Anniversary vinyl and Nobuo Uematsu arrangement album Modulation available for pre-order
Square Enix has recently announced two Final Fantasy compilation albums available on vinyl. One is a two disc orchestral compilation for the 35th anniversary of Final Fantasy. This set features new cover artwork by Yoshitaka Amano. The second vinyl release is a Final Fantasy album featuring one song from each of the first ten games, newly arranged by Nobuo Uematsu.
Final Fantasy XIII vinyl restocked for 12 year anniversary
For the 12 year anniversary of Final Fantasy XIII, Square Enix has restocked their first vinyl in the modern era. Composer Masashi Hamauzu selected 8 source tracks for this vinyl, titled W/F : Music from Final Fantasy XIII.
Chrono Trigger jazz album available for pre-order
Square Enix’s newest jazz album features jazz arrangements of the classic Chrono Trigger. The album is arranged by trombonist Eijiro Nakagawa and bassist Ryu Kawamura. They bring a fresh take on Yasunori Mitsuda’s original soundtrack, which is one of the greatest soundtracks of all time.
Final Fantasy VI Inspired Album Featuring Amano Cover Announced
Label Channel 3 Records has announced a vinyl release of the Final Fantasy VI inspired album Esperwave by Natsukashii. The album features beautiful cover art by Final Fantasy series illustrator Yoshitaka Amano. The album will be available for order on August 13, 2021.
Final Fantasy IV - Song of Heroes vinyl announced for 30th anniversary
A special vinyl release, Final Fantasy IV - Song of Heroes, has been announced to commemorate the game’s 30th anniversary. The vinyl contains 8 songs, half of which are new arranged tracks, while the other half has the original SNES game’s versions by Nobuo Uematsu.

Square Enix has announced a 4 vinyl record collection for the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV for release August 31st, 2021. You can pre-order the records for A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, Stormblood, and Shadowbringers individually or as a set.
