Sixth Album from Final Fantasy Distant Worlds Orchestral Tour Available Now

The Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY series of symphony concert performances has been ongoing since 2007. The concert series features music largely composed by famed series composer Nobuo Uematsu. The shows are directed and conducted by the Grammy-winning Arnie Roth, who has been associated with Final Fantasy concerts since the first concert tour, Dear Friends - Music from Final Fantasy, in 2005.

Coming four years after the last collection, the next album Distant Worlds VI: more music from FINAL FANTASY is available now to order in CD form. The album is largely a combination of songs from the last two Distant Worlds tours: the Final Fantasy VII Remake tour from February 2021 to March 2022, and the Final Fantasy 35th Anniversary tour from August 2022 to March 2023.

The new album has 17 tracks. Ten of the tracks are available on the 35th Anniversary tour album, but interestingly none of the seven Final Fantasy VII related tracks are available on the Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestral Arrangement album. The album also feature’s Final Fantasy VIII'‘s “Eyes on Me” performed by Susan Calloway, the vocalist for many of Final Fantasy XIV’s themes, such as “Dragonsong”. Her rendition of “Eyes on Me” has not been featured on any of the prior Distant Worlds albums.

The album is available to order in CD form now, and will be available streaming on September 1st, 2023. There is no news on a vinyl release, but all five of the previous albums have had vinyl releases.
