Final Fantasy XVI soundtrack available for pre-order, releases July 2023
Square Enix is releasing Final Fantasy XVI exclusively for the PlayStation 5 on June 22, 2023. The game is being produced by Naoki Yoshida, who has been the director and producer of the extremely popular MMO Final Fantasy XIV over its five installments post-relaunch ten years ago. While it’s comforting that this next installment in the Final Fantasy series has such strong leadership, it’s also exciting that Yoshida has brought in Masayoshi Soken as Final Fantasy XVI’s composer. Soken has become the primary composer over the course of Final Fantasy XIV, and its music is also widely acclaimed.
The soundtrack to Final Fantasy XVI is currently available for pre-order through Square Enix. The soundtrack consists of of seven CD’s for the standard version, and includes a booklet with liner notes from Masayoshi Soken. An Ultimate Edition of the soundtrack includes another bonus disc that includes music from cutscenes.
