Suikoden I&II HD Remaster 7 CD Soundtrack Available for Pre-order
As part of the Suikoden I&II HD remaster, Konami is releasing a 7 CD soundtrack for release in January 2025. Similar to the games’ original soundtracks, Suikoden’s score is 2 CDs, and Suikoden II’s soundtrack is 4 CDs long. An additional bonus CD of arrangements and “music box” versions of songs from both games is included in the set.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom 9 CD Soundtrack Available for Pre-order
Nintendo of Japan has announced a nine CD release of the soundtrack for Tears of the Kingdom for pre-order, scheduled to release July 31st, 2024. Returning from her duties on Breath of the Wild, composer Manaka Kataoka was joined by composers Tsukasa Usui, Maasa Miyoshi, and Masato Ohashi for the soundtrack. Collectively, these composers have created a soundtrack that carries forward the mysterious themes from the game’s predecessor, while adding both lofty themes for the sky sections and oppressive sounds for the underground areas. While the game is more iterative than its revolutionary predecessor, I felt the game’s technically intense and emotional finale surpassed the series’s pinnacle ending of The Wind Waker.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth 7 CD Soundtrack Available for Pre-order
Square Enix has opened pre-orders for the soundtrack of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Similar to the soundtrack to Remake, this is 7 discs for the standard version, as well as Special Edit version which includes a bonus 8th disc with minigame music. The soundtracks are scheduled to ship April 2024.
Sea of Stars Vinyl and Physical Game Announced
A two-disc vinyl for 2023 Best Independent Game, Sea of Stars, has been announced by iam8bit, along with a physical release of the game. The soundtrack features music composed by Eric W. Brown, the composer of The Messenger, as well as tracks by Chrono Trigger composer Yasunori Mitsuda.
Baldur’s Gate 3 CD Soundtrack Available for Pre-order with Deluxe Physical Edition
A 3 CD soundtrack for Baldur’s Gate 3 is included in the Deluxe Edition, which includes the game discs, a cloth map, and other physical bonus items. Composed by Borislav Slavov, this epic soundtrack has rightly been nominated for The Game Awards Best Score and Music.
Collector’s Edition of Vanillaware’s SRPG Unicorn Overlord to Include Two-Disc 16-bit Arranged Album
The Collector’s Edition of Vanillware’s new SRPG Unicorn Overlord will include a two-disc 16-bit arrangement of the soundtrack composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto. Sakimoto has composed some of the greatest SRPG soundtracks, including Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics.
Sixth Album from Final Fantasy Distant Worlds Orchestral Tour Available Now
“Distant Worlds VI: more music from FINAL FANTASY” is available now to order in CD form. The album is largely a combination of songs from the last two Distant Worlds tours: the Final Fantasy VII Remake tour and the Final Fantasy 35th Anniversary tour. It also features a previously unreleased rendition of Final Fantasy VIII’s “Eyes on Me” performed by Final Fantasy XIV vocalist Susan Calloway.

Final Fantasy XVI soundtrack available for pre-order, releases July 2023
The soundtrack to Final Fantasy XVI is currently available for pre-order through Square Enix. The soundtrack consists of of seven CD’s for the standard version, and includes a booklet with liner notes from Masayoshi Soken. An Ultimate Edition of the soundtrack includes another bonus disc that includes music from cutscenes.
The remastered soundtrack to the Ghost Trick re-release is only available through Capcom’s online Japanese store
Ghost Trick features an amazing soundtrack by the composer of the first two Ace Attorney games, Masakazu Sugimori. For the re-release of Ghost Trick on modern platforms, the soundtrack is being remastered and released in a 2 CD set. Unfortunately, the set is only available through Capcom’s Japan only online store.
Vinyl Set Included with Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster 35th Anniversary Collector's Edition
The 35th anniversary collector’s edition of the Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster collection contains a two-disc vinyl set featuring a sampling of tracks from the series. These games feature new arrangements supervised by series composer Nobuo Uematsu.

Limited Final Fantasy Distant Worlds 100th Concert Album For Sale
The limited CD for the Distant Worlds Final Fantasy Concert 100th performance, which took place in Tokyo in 2015, is now available for purchase. This was previously only available at the Square Enix merchandise booth at Tokyo Game Show 2017.
The Live A Live remake CD soundtrack, composed by Yoko Shimomura, is shipping soon.
The 2 CD soundtrack to Square Enix’s remake of the Super Famicom era JRPG, Live A Live, is shipping soon. Both the original and remake’s soundtracks are composed by Yoko Shimomura, who also composed Street Fighter 2, Super Mario RPG, Legend of Mana, and Kingdom Hearts. The remake of Live A Live is the first time this game has been localized outside of Japan, and is currently available worldwide for the Nintendo Switch.
Final Fantasy IX vinyl available for pre-order for July 2022 release
A two-disc vinyl release for Final Fantasy IX is available for pre-order. This was the last Final Fantasy game composed exclusively by Nobuo Uematsu. The release features 25 tracks from the game.

Square Enix has recently announced two Final Fantasy compilation albums available on vinyl. One is a two disc orchestral compilation for the 35th anniversary of Final Fantasy. This set features new cover artwork by Yoshitaka Amano. The second vinyl release is a Final Fantasy album featuring one song from each of the first ten games, newly arranged by Nobuo Uematsu.
Ace Attorney 20th Anniversary vinyl set available for pre-order
A six disc vinyl collection of Ace Attorney music has been announced for the 20th Anniversary of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. The set includes one vinyl for each of the six titles in the main series. The Ace Attorney games feature some of the best music ever produced by Capcom, which is why it has been celebrated through numerous concerts in Japan throughout the past twenty years.
