10th Anniversary Hotline Miami 1 & 2 Vinyl Set Available for Pre-order

Hotline Miami is a top-down shooter developed by indie studio Dennaton Games and published by Devolver Digital October 23, 2012 for PC. The gameplay featured stages navigated from a top down perspective in which the main character kills all of the bad guys before they kill you. The game is notable for a very stylized 1980’s Miami setting with 2D pixel art graphics. Due to the intense gameplay, cohesive art style, and amazing soundtrack, the game released to widespread critical acclaim. A sequel, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number was released March 10, 2015.

The soundtrack of Hotline MIami contributed significantly to the neon soaked 80’s vibe of the game. Nine artists contributed to the original soundtrack, which has a distinct synthwave sound. This electronic 80’s inspired genre had seen a surge in popularity after the movie Drive soundtrack was released in 2011 and featured track’s like Kavinsky’s “Nightcall”. The soundtrack of Hotline Miami perfectly matched the stylized 80’s setting of the game.

In celebration of the 10 year anniversary of the original game’s release, Hotline Miami 1 & 2 Complete Collection is being released. The set is an eight vinyl collection featuring all 76 tracks remastered from both games. The set is available in black, teal, and neon yellow and pink.
