With the Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestral Concert delayed until next year, we won’t be able to enjoy a live performance of Final Fantasy music anytime soon. With that in mind, you could consider purchasing a gift set from Distant Worlds: music from Final Fantasy.

Distant Worlds is a worldwide concert series featuring music from the Final Fantasy series being performed by a symphony orchestra. The concert series features music largely composed by famed series composer Nobuo Uematsu. The shows are directed and conducted by the Grammy-winning Arnie Roth, who has been associated with Final Fantasy concerts since the first concert tour, titled Dear Friends. In fact, I was fortunate enough to see this original tour, over 15 years ago (see tickets below).

The CD gift set includes the five discs collecting the Distant Worlds orchestral series, as well as the two discs from the A New World chamber ensembles. It also includes a lunch box, a tote bag, and, wait for it… a kazoo.

If this set interests you, the you can preorder it directly from the link below. Beware, for some reason the “Buy Now” link did not work on my iPhone, in both the Safari and Chrome browsers. I had to get onto a PC to purchase it.
