Axiom Verge 1 & 2 soundtracks available on vinyl and CD from Limited Run Games
Axiom Verge is an indie action adventure platformer that was released by Thomas Happ for the PS4 in 2015. Heavily inspired by Metroid, the game was released to critical acclaim, and has since been ported to the Vita, the Wii U, and the Switch. Axiom Verge 2 was released on PS4 and Switch in August 2021 and features a more exploratory focus.
Both Axiom Verge 1 and 2 are developed by one person, Thomas Happ. The games feature impressive pixel art reminiscent of the 8-bit and 16-bit eras. Additionally, Thomas Happ has crafted amazing chiptune soundtracks for both games. These perfectly match the atmosphere of the games, combining a sense of haunting mystery with synth beats.
Limited Run Games has announced a variety of ways to obtain the soundtracks to both games. There is a single disc vinyl soundtrack of Axiom Verge 1, a double disc vinyl soundtrack for Axiom Verge 2, and CD soundtracks available in the collector’s editions. These are available for pre-order until October 31st, 2021.
